Australian motorcycling has dropped so far its hard for anyone to come out as a winner, this ASBK vs FX divide has its roots back to the early 2000s doesn't it, with a brief merger for a few years in the mid-2000s?
What does Motorcycling Australia have to say about it all, do they have anything to do with FX?

ASBK has been cut to 3 rounds this year, 1 with the V8's in Darwin. They say they would rather do 3 "great rounds" than 6 "race meetings"
ASC/FX have 34 entrants for round 1 of the series in March - that is HUGE. Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, BMW, Aprilia - no Suzuki. All the big name riders in Australia racing - it should be great & its about blooody time!
MA have nothing to do with ASC/FX, MA follow ASBK and are responsible (with IEG) for the mess ASBK is in. Terry O'Neill runs the ASC/FX, MA don't like him for some reason.
Terry is a gun promoter - he ran ASBK from roughly 2004-2009, then MA put IEG incharge & Terry started his FX/ASC series again, growing in strength from year to year, whilst IEG screwed up the ASBK & now we are where we are!
