I think Super GT just need to go on its own way (in terms of its GT500 spec, multi-tyre war etc) even though the convergence project with DTM will fail,
because Super GT itself was already exciting before technical partnership with DTM was announced (which can be viewed as Super GT's effort to promote itself internationally).
I remember at 2013 when GT500 cars will share the technical spec with DTM cars, some people are sure that Super GT will be less exciting, but in fact, it's getting more exciting I guess.
Well, I don't have any idea why ITR/DTM postpone their own 2.0 turbo engine. Audi, Mercy and BMW can be advantageous through making 2.0 turbo engine as the running lab of their own development for road car engine.
Ah, one more. To even up Speckook & Super GT's multi-tyre on a single race surely won't be an easy job...
