I've had a look through the 1988 pages, and here are a few more details to fill in your gaps - mainly individual sponsors. As the race was actually 'on the back of' the 1988 Esso Metro Superchallenge -
although not actually part of it - I see little point in mentioning Esso or Dunlop as an individual sponsor. Likewise, quite a few cars had Radio WM stickers on them for the weekend, so I won't bother with that either...
