Thank you Hitech. Looks like I lost the argument! That would give a very short 1st gear. I take it that means you can use 2nd gear as a start gear perhaps?
Yes we are begginers, so maybe 14-48 would be best to start with then! I think Avon recommended 570/250 R13 tyres which is roughly 22".
