I always feel a twinge of disappointment whenever I see (as in the link given above) a mention of a car being referred to as Mick Hill's Janglia. The fact of the matter is that the car was the idea and creation of Richard Scantlebury who built the car initially, with some of the bodywork alterations being carried out by a specialist in Pinner, Middx. That was in the mid sixties.

I happen to know this because Richard and I met for the first time at that workshop when they were re-profiling the wheel-arches for my Anglia whilst they were also working on Richard's Janglia.

It would be nice to see that he was credited, along with Doc Merfield and also the creator of the Berpop, as being the people behind what became very popular for a time, i.e. shoe-horning massive engines into ordinary saloons for racing.
