OK, lets go for it! John, you got a reply to your PM.
Grant, I think the same driver owns or at least use to own 2 cars. Grant again, I tried with no success so far to contact Olivier, former helicopter pilot/mechanic who took care of the adjustment of the wastegate from the auxiliary turbine. Sorry for the bad joke about "papers" and thanks not taking it in count…
I think I can arrange a visit to the garage at least for John, because its the place I'll bring one of my cars to have it dyno tested. The rolling road is probably not fantastic but the guy has the know how. Crubilé has been chosen by La Sarthe museum to refurbish and ex Le Mans Porsche.
Please always bear in mind that historic racing in France has nothing to see with what you know in UK. I said to Mike we are underdeveloped…
The race just started, lets see what they can do!!
Merci beaucoup, Gerard! I'll be in touch.

As to French historic racing, up until about three years ago we used to have a wonderful annual meeting at Croix called Grand Prix Historique, actually headed by Group A saloons, also with Maxi 1000 & 1300, FF, F Renault etc. In 2013 we also had the 500cc F3's, for which the circuit was perfectly suited. It was like being transported back to Mallory Park in about 1973, a real time warp. One or two competitors even had monkey bikes!
