Yes that is true, but I really dont think the cars were reaching their ultimate top speed this year. Im pretty sure that the diesels would top the 339kph they set at Le Mans this year. I forget who it was but I remember someone saying that at Paul ricard one of the petrol LMP1 cars was hitting 326kph or 336kph, I cant remember what car it was or who said it but im pretty sure it was said. Also remember that top speeds should be higher now at Le Mans than back in 1999, yes the cars run more downforce but now the speed the cars are taking onto the mulsanne is much higher thanks to the the corner leading onto the Mulsanne having be re profiled.
