It's is. I recall reading on DSC that they had an engineless VW Toerag parked up in the workshop, as that was the easiest way to get an engine.
Having watched some truck racing last year, the front running teams (with the newer trucks) seemed to be able to make power without, much, smoke whereas the smaller teams who'd obviously just crudely turned up the boost and fuelling were smoking like a beagle.
