Other than circuit alterations (which I suppose are unlikely) it is still possible to damage the circuit for the spectators (and marshals come to think of it) in other ways. Think of the spectating/photographing/marshaling problems caused by the sea of catch-fencing which appeared for Champ Car 2 years ago (some still remains). It would be a disaster for the GP loop (which pretty much resembles Goodwood with it`s comparative lack of fencing) to be lined with steel for evermore come September just for a 3-year A1GP deal......
