This. Since the race won't run in the wet, why risk the car for nothing?

Oh, there will be some GTD teams running around out there---there likely won't be any standing water, and for teams with limited test time, like one-off GTD teams, it might be worthwhile to run even at low speed.

And who knows? Maybe IMSA will officiate differently this year.

On another hand---Continental is debuting all-new tires this year (http://sportscar365.com/imsa/iwsc/qa...mp3-expansion/) so possibly they will want teams to test their rain tires---or possibly teams will want to.

Rain will still be miserable for the spectators.
