I was working in Jabiru in the NT in 1987.
In those days in the Top End, the Great Race was shown on TV on delay. By a week.....
Yep it was on Seven the following Sunday!
I got sent a VHS express from Sydney and was quite the hit at the Club when I had the race on the tele there on the Wednesday night.
