Queensand series Round 2 just held and Shane Hart had a massive accident, bringing an early end to the Round 4 race, Shane was OK after the accident but it was the biggest hit seen at Morgan Park since the circuit was expanded. The car suddenly stepped away from Shane underneath the bridge and clouted the outside earth (rock) barrier of the Cutting.
Shane had turned the tables on the Mazda 323 of Shane Bradford, and despite the presence of Bob McLoughlin in the Trans-Am Commodore took pole, race 1 win and the fastest lap. Race 2 Shane was recovering from an earlier incident and was fourth behind Bradford, McLoughlin and Damien Meneguzzo's U2 BMW-Nissan.
