Basically Toyota doesn't have a good high downforce package this year because they put all their eggs in the LM basket. And now that they also have a points disadvantage to the leading Porsche, it is going to a difficult mountain to climb for the #8 crew.
Reliability may be a factor, but haven't the cars been relavitely trouble-free during the two 6 hour races?
