The original thread opened by Terry S was merged into the 'Will V8Supercars Still Be Here In 5 Years' because every comment on that thread predicted and practically celebrated the demise of the category
In thinking of putting like with like, it was merged there.
Funny thing is, I had never considered a thread starter as a thread 'owner' before. I start many threads, in here and orther parts of the site, and hopefully leave enough of a discussion point around to warm up some further discussion

Where did your wording of "owner" come from?
I certainly didn't use it.
I started a thread because I saw an article that I thought might have some interest. Then when checking to see any response I couldn't see the thread, hence my query.
As a rookie poster I thought it might have offended some rule of the house.
I thought out of common courtesy you might have sent a PM about what happened to it.
