Information about "inquires" and "discussions," in regard to values and potential offers/sale of Panoz racing-related properties comes from multiple sources, not just one, and not just "inside the building," past or present. (Don't forget that by definition there are two parties - or more - to such things, so not everything originates in Braselburg. Some might come from the most surprising places.)
ALMS season credentials require the on-site coverage of 6 or more events. Those who don't anticipate that don't apply (or shouldn't). There are very few in the media who have been "hard card" credentialed for nine years of the 12 years the series has been in operation (1999-2010).
Personally, I know of no one who has been refused credentials because of what he/she has written. Braselburg also would like all its coverage to be by print or "major" electronic media. Periodically, it suffers from the organization delusion that it can demand that, only to realize that would quicklyempty the media rooms at its events.
That said, there's no doubt Braselburg would prefer that all its "press" is positive. Not sure how that's different from any other such organization. There's another racing business on Florida's Atlantic coast that isn't well treated by the same media sources. Horrors!
