Yep, it is a low level category. Entry level, even. An ideal place for karters to get experience racing cars on big tracks.
But thats what it always has been, Formula Junior doing the same job before it. 'The only change between Ron Barnacle winning and Leanne Tander (quite deservingly) winning the title is that the powers in charge have a financial interest in a competing category.
For the record, the smallest grid in this years national FFord series was 28 which is bigger than the largest F4 grid this year of 13.
