The ERA was 30s in name only. It was a Zetec-engined, Hewland-boxed spaceframe, styled to look like a miniature Lotus 49 (or so they reckoned). The trouble was, it was a bit too miniature, and early versions had drivers towering out of the cockpit (and towering over the rollbar).
