I hope we don't move to a single POTF, but revert back to having a range of motors with varying no of cylinders, capacities, and perhaps forced induction. OK, so parity will be fun, but GT3 seems to manage it OK. I would far sooner V8SC added other engine formats, not change to another.
If we have to have a single powerplant type, please let it stay V8, simply because of the sound. And no, marketing, or what-the-public-drives is not an issue for me - I've never owned a V8 (that's not to say I haven't wanted one).
