After 2 years of FULLY-automatic gearboxes and traction control resulting in cars you only have to point and shoot, I'd lvoe to see a total blanket ban on this stuff, but the problem is enforcement.

No one can be sure what kinds of systems are being used, and what benefits are being gained. Look, for example, at Renault's Launch Control system operating off the lights themselves, which was promptly banned once it was clear what an advantage they got.

We definately want slick tyres though, and, at the very most, semi-automatic geearboxes. There is too much now. Whatever next? Automatic brakes? Or an ideal line painted on teh track, like in the Geoff Crammond games?
