I know that in other instances if you gain a clear advantage by going off track you must give the place back, but Whincup failed to do so and no directive or penalty was issued. It didn't matter in the end as Frosty got him anyway, but is it a case of one rule for Vodafone Holden and another rule for everyone else?

Probably no penalty because Whincup didn't cut any corners........he actually went the long way round.........no protest from any other teams.
