Some of the smaller club meetings may be able to use you as a Safety Car Observer. I did it once and had a great time - it really helped already being a marshal as I had the understanding of how the cars should behave on the circuit, plus I gained a better idea of the marshals posts and viewpoints from the driver's side....win win all round. Lots of sitting strapped in to a car, though, so may not help with the hip recovery...(good luck with that, btw)
