Yes the Giles cars definitely are a step-a-head of the rest. A lot of speculation as to how they get a "perfect" car where everyone else is fighting like mad to get around the track and whether or not they are getting an unfair advantage.
But they do have the superior engineers by a long way. Look at ETEC for example, 3 of their 4 engineers were working on single seaters for the first time in their careers. The Giles guys have years of experience. And it's not like Ferrari didn't have the money to put him in a Giles car. Surely they would have looked at the history and seen it was Giles or no championship effectively.
