If Audi indeed developed gasoline engine for R18, then what about a Bentley return?
Bentley has Le Mans heritage, only wants to fight for overall win and don't emphasize on wanting to be electric.

Still has to be paid for by VAG though. I think cost cutting is the reason not that LMP1 is suddenly not so relevant to them. I imagine that dieselgate has already cost them much more than they thought and they aren't done yet.
