What I can tell you about the Plastic Escort on an Elan chassis is that it went to the great Special Saloon paddock in the sky about twenty years ago when I purchased it for all its 26R running gear.......and on a similar subject I got the DAF as a roller from the Higgins brothers and relieved it of the March 761 front end parts (to Geoff Davey - goodness knows what he might have done with them) - and the rear end which was all correct March 712 which was used to complete the rebuild of Dave Abbott's black 712 and I then sold all that was left back to the Higgins. The DAF has now been rebuilt itself I hear.
