I would say the cost level depends a lot on the different deals each driver gets with the relevant team. For a first-year rookie, however, I'd reckon a sum of some €200.000 would be a qualified "guess". As for the association with AFOS, the current regulation framework doesn't say much about how - or if - the resources will be split in terms of prize money, creating an unknown for many participants.
Unfortunately, I can't yet give you any names of the attending drivers at the test. I hope the situation will become clearer in due course, but the time zone difference between China and Sweden makes it hard to quantify and update the news flow.
