The number of incidents involving contact between PCs and GTDs was a negative factor though (however not a surprise), it's about time race control puts their money where their mouth is - covering the subject in the drivers meeting and issue warnings doesn't really cut it when no actions for on track scrimmages are being taken....
Other than that, yes, the PC + GTD format works quite well but I still prefer a GT only race at this venue - as a bonus IMSA could let them run the old course without the crappy chicane (which seemed to trigger some contact as well).
