Looks like we need a 'My Capri was a....' thread!
Only one I owned was a 5 speed injection which was very nice to drive, although do remember going to the dealer launch of the Mk1 when it first came out. Sure that one on display was a 1300L model. Went with my mate and his Dad in their brand new 'Silver Fox' Escort GT- a really early one before they fitted the front arb.
Jack Sears has a 3 litre GXL (or may be an 'E') he has owned since new!
