It makes every difference. In the RB days to have the number 2 competing strongly resulting in management intervention to prevent it upsetting the applecart means the no.1 driver might not be as brilliant as thought.
However I think we will see a much stronger Seb if the Ferrari gets a sniff of regular wins next year. That's when we see ace drivers show their mettle. They find another gear.
