Have a 1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II. It's in my avatar. It's putting out ~240hp and weighs ~2600lbs, I'm making a reasonable estimate compared to when it was dynoed @ 215-220hp. It works great except when the idiot owner decides to do something to it.
Soon it will have a Megasquirt doing the EFI duty. It's a surprisingly powerful open source DIY ECU.
