Yes they were pushing as hard as they could but if you remember the conditions changed early on and there wasnt a chance for more competitve times to be set, had the track been dry for both qualifying sessions I am sure that the times would have dipped into the 3:25's and maybe even 3:24's. And remember the cars almost always go quicker during the night qualifying sessions when the conditions are more favourable.
