I have a soft spot for the Joest/TWR car as it was the winner on my first visit to Le Mans ('97). Plus its links to the Jag and Mazda winners add to the mistique.
With hindsight, they should have run the car in '98 in the same guise that it finished '97 with, that was its strong point, nice and simple, the tortoise and the hare all over again.
