I wouldn't have said it was that bad. He started fantastically but petered out a little. He deserves a step up, although F3.5 V8 whatever would be an odd series to move into, instead of Indy Lights or perhaps even GP3. Although I don't know what he's planning and what he can plan so who am I to comment really but an outsider. He's young though, and still yet to refine his talent fully. IndyCar could easily work out in years to come, whereas F1 I believe could be limiting. Maybe he's eyeing up WEC.
As for your last sentence, Perez and Gutierrez went there a couple of months ago racing in some big motorsport series.
