Fireblade should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Well keeping my hair dry is not a No 1 priority nowadays, Judd. Perhaps we should just call you Noah from now on.

Such short memories people have though. Its not that many years ago since we had a brook running through Shelsley. It has since been culverted but do you remember how it flowed through the paddock like the Severn Bore in times of heavy rain?

I recall standing in the paddock with Reg Phillips one wet Shelsley weekend and someone commented on the precipitation that had dampened the weekend. And Reg quite sagely remarked "and what do think they built the sheds for all those years ago?" Quite right Reg.

Looking back at old reports of Shelsley from the 30's and 40's it is apparent that they had a run of wet meetings hence the place being referred to in a motoring magazine as "Shelsley Squalsh". One of those years was of course 1936 on the return of Hans Stuck in the Auto Union. By all accounts it was quite spectacular watching him trying to get some power down in those conditions.
