Morris 1100 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
From what I understand it happened at the 1970 Australian Touring Car Championship round at Lakeside, I am not sure of the date.

The book "Australian Touring Car Championship 25 Fabulous years" says about the 1970 Lakeside race..

"In fact, it became a race of great tension. In the racing car event preceding the championship round, Glyn Scott and Ivan Tighe had a devastating accident just past the pits, causing a lot of damage to fences which took an hour or so to repair, and while no official announcement was made immediately about Scott"s death, it was obvious both drivers had been badly hurt. Then when the tourers finally were launched away, there was a startline jam-up -- incredibly -- another accident on the site of the Scott/Tighe crash, with Brauer"s Mustang bent around the trackside armco and Brauer injured."

This is a picture of Brauers crash.

And a close up of the dust cloud.
