Whats the chances of Mercedes entering PROCAR with their DTM cars. Afterall the series does have a touring car 'special' class.
I wouldn't rule out a LMP or GT project as they could compete in the LMES, ALMS and also FIA GT if they chose the GT1 route.
They do not neccessarily have to enter Le Mans. They refused to race their in 1990 when it was not a World Championship event.
Then again with the new aero regs in LMP1 they may well be willing to race again.
