Obviously CAMS just wanted them to pad out the grid.... but considering that BMW fronted for 1993 with more official works cars than Ford or Holden, to treat them the way they were was disgraceful (not to mention they'd just run Nissan out of the sport too)
Bond also raced it on the Wellington streets in 1994 in the APTCC event

There were 2 Linder run E36 3 doors in the '93 DTM driven by Armin Hahne and an other. This was after the factory withdrew so maybe Linder were originally tasked with the development in '92 and then decided just to race them anyway?
