I won't make defense for the 911 engine placement lol. Straight out of the factory every car will have advantages and disadvantages. The 911's were able to shoot to the front of the class in the wet. As for the remaining 90% of the race, let's just say the BOP (meant to equalize racing among diverse platforms) made a few cars "more equal than others" to quote Animal Farm.
To a point I get what you're saying. The newer reg 2016 cars out performed the 2015 reg cars with updated aero. To a point the BOP last week was a little obvious.
