Although most of those things are more related to sporting than technical regs, they're fair points.
You know, GTA letting them to run pretty-much-according-to-rules-but-not-really wouldn't be as cringeworthy as with IMSA attempting to have DP vs LMP2 on equal basis when the two concepts have nothing in common and there's clear bias towards one direction, but it could still lead to some annoying BoP arguments over the course of the season and make the established domestic brands unhappy & whining.
Long ago in the past they used to have ACO/FIA GT1 (90's & 2000's) cars in the same class as GT500, so there is history of non compliant concepts if you like, but they weren't factory teams were they...
