This was my reason for kicking off this thread, it would appear that the majority of modern day drivers in operating the day time running function
assume that their vehicle is visible both front and rear not realizing day time running lights only operate the front side lights hence they drive along in darkening/gloomy conditions totally unaware that they cannot be seen from behind.
