At the risk of taking this thread off on a bit of a tangent ... As I understand it, the purpose of the Pom is (was) to identify the "best" car for touring. If that's right, how do the various elements of the regulations contribute towards that ideal ? Bigger engine, yes - but why a smaller limit for PVT; what's the rationale (not that there necessarily has to be a rationale) behind the relevance of the distance from brake pedal to rear axle ?
