I don't think you'd ever describe the S1 as a thing of beauty- 'brutally purposeful' is probably a better description.
I always loved the 'classic' Audi Sport colours from those 80's Quattros- very simple livery, but immediately recognisable.

The addition of the yellow for the 'HB' sponsorship in 1985(?) or so did nothing for it though...
Must admit it's a pity Audi weren't tempted to livery up one of the R18s in a version of the retro colours for their final WEC outing this year as a 'goodbye' gesture.
