Why were FPR allowed to run the flared guard shape in years gone by, were the regulations quite loose in that area?
I guess FPR and T8 have checked it out for aero and found the FPR shape doesn't increase drag before forcing it onto all Ford teams by incorporating an FPR shape flare into the new issue plastic guards?
