If you're looking for sub-plots in the race then a couple of up and coming GT stars are making their debut in the WEC.

Nicki Thiim is third man in the Young Driver Dane Aston
Davide Rigon will be driving for 8Star
Richie Stanaway in the Dalla Lana/Lamy Aston.

I'd expect to see all three of them at Le Mans next year.
