If Grand-Am is headed to LBGP in 2006, someone better tell them. They have issued their 2006 schedule and it is not on their. Granted, it could be held back for logistics and such, and added later.
As to Trans-Am, it will return in 2006 remaining under the Champcar management. The series is seeking a title sponsor and has 90% of the 2006 schedule done. They are looking to add 2-3 more venues prior to releasing the schedule.
The comment about Trans-Am lives...as World Challenge GT was a snide remark by then SCCA president Steve Johnson, on an SCCA chat forum, prior to his departing to become prez of Champcar.
