John, do you mean Colin? I remember him on Gil's car for a while but José's car was run by Kenny Dornan.
Kenny then went on to run José's Fulmar FF2000 car in '89 and then started their own ill fated attempt at F3 in '90 as Nemesis Racing. Big factory at Kimbolton, no money, handful of races, no results, end of José's career. Sad.
The Fulmar FF engines were built by Trevor Van Rooyen, badged as Aurigas as he used their dyno, but built them at the Fulmar workshop.
