as what I heard travel fee to Malay is eventually cheaper than Shanghai,if you use Zhuhai as starting point.displacement is one of reason,and Chinese customs isn't friendly to goodies(automotive at least).Zhuhai Custom used to block all the cars 'immigrant' for half an year in 2001,that makes Zhuhai circuit nearly 'die'.
