Another Aussie In International F3

Well,

Do you think this could be a return to the golden era of Australian Motor Sport?

Yes I know all you Englanders out there are getting sick of hearing about our little Aussie drivers, but you must put it in perspective and see how starved we have been on genuine International talent.

So try this on for size:

In 2003 we will have the following drivers in the following series:

British Formula 3
-> Will Davison - ADR
-> Will Power - Diamond Racing

European Formula 3
-> Ryan Briscoe -
-> James Manderson - Currently in full pre-season testing with Team Swiss (Yet to announce whether he has signed for the season or not). Look out for links to an F1 team.

Japanese Formula 3
-> James Courtney - TOMS Toyota

Also with Rob Nguyen floating around on the sideline, Alex Davison with a lead drive in the Porsche Carrera Cap Series, and some guy driving for a little green team, Mark Webber I think his name is. hehehe

It is pretty impressive for a little country with the economic impact on the Global Economy that is in line with Turkey.

I hope you understand why we are so proud of our fellow countrymen that excel in their chosen fields.

Keep an eye on those Aussies, they're everywhere.

After their battle for the 2001 Australian FFord title, it will be good to see Davison and Power renew their (friendly) rivalry again.

I'm glad to see James Manderson has a drive, he drove a smart championship last year to win the Australian F3 Championship, picking up points regularly but very quick when necessary.

It is a real pity that Peter Hackett doesn't have a drive yet again though

If the Ralt chassis can be made competitive this year in the British Formula 3 championship I think Will Power will be the dark horse posting some good results
Lets hope he makes the podium
