being mentioned on Speedcafe in my opinion is not the same as being confirmed by DJR/Webb/Bright/V8Supercars.com however. Media do occasionally get things wrong

Why else would they have him driving at a drive day for them at oran park if he was not going to be in the djr fold in 2010

no idea, but given the delay, with the alleged reasons behind the delay, it makes me pause...

In anticipation of the 'rubber stamping' of the transfer.

(which hasn't happened yet!)

Great news on the colour scheme, i love when teams have the same basic plan, with different highlights (Tipping the extra highlight to be blue, the other prime colour (relating gold to yellow))

Why couldn't he use #19? You're not allowed to have shared numbers between the Fujitsu series/main game? That's kinda ridiculous as they're two different series...

Yes they may be a different series but they have the same ruling body which issue the REC's, you have to remember when all this came in you could try and qualify for any event, this was before V8SA Capped the field.

Yeah but that would be like the NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup series being unable to have numbers shared between them.

Does the Fujitsu Champion get to wear the number 1 aswell as the Main game champ, or only main game?

Fujitsu champ can't even drive in the following season. IMO they should be allowed.

Not really Matt because the fujitsu cars are still logbooked supercars and with a few mods can enter at Bathurst for example when they opened up the field by a few spots

It's nothing like it, can you run a Nationwide car in a Sprint Cup race??? Add to that the number of cars in NASCAR and you soon see the issues for them.

No the Fujitsu series Champion does not get to where the number 1, that is reserved for the series champion only.

We went through this a little while back - Apparently that rule has been changed (so Webb could drive in the DVS if he really wanted to).

Why can't preference be given to the main series for number choices. As far as i see it, it seems too hard to change your number if you join the series. Aswell as numbers are currently too "over-the-place" for my liking anyway.

The way i see it there should be no reason why DJR can't run 17-18-19.

Stupid numbers 39-67
8-14
10-24
4-9 (before anyone says anything, the two drivers which made those numbers memorable are no longer driving there)

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place.
