Gotta admit I'm curious too, even though all I've seen of this is a collection of crashes from the Thunderdome (Damn you "When Good Times go Bad!", though HOW did Grahame O'Brien get THAT high? )

What made the powers that be try such and idea, and in the end...why didn't it work?

Yeah....but in the clips I saw, it seemed to be the only oval race I've ever seen where they went CLOCKWISE!

IE.....yes, there is more things in life than only turning left...like only turning right!

RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The direction of racing depends on the type of car - NASCARS, being left hand drive - go anti-clockwise here - to keep the driver AWAY from the wall. AUSCAR, right hand drive, clockwise - again - to keep the driver AWAY from the wall.

NASCAR never went clockwise on the Tunderdome.
