Amar7605 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2005 TV Package?

I got this rumor off of Champweb.

Television package 2005 08-07
Word out of RA has CBS covering some of the races and a more accessible cable outlet covering the rest for the US. Also mention of Eurosport returning for 2005.

It's about time!

As long as Motors TV keeps doing the UK coverage.

I don't want Eurosport messing it all up again.

With Motors we get every Champ Car race live.

I concur with K-b about British coverage. MotorsTV are doing a superb job - no fuss, just straight to the action. Even their timing of commercials is pretty good!

I would like to see a new deal for Australian audiences (particularly for when I get home in a couple of years). Watching a race at 2am on Tuesday morning is NOT GOOD!

It's only on at 2 AM when Big Borether is on. The race at Road America is on at a more reasonable 11:30 PM. Besides, none of the other networks would take it around here, FTA or PAY.

I find it hard to believe anyone would be satisfied with channel 10's coverage of champcars in Australia.

It's blatantly pathetic!

A few years ago when I was in Austrailia I saw a Champ Car race on channel 10, and it was different that what I am used to in the US. It wasn't that bad or anything; tha announcers sounded like they were broadcasting on radio as well as TV, so they were giving a play-by-play analysis. Here in the US it seems more relaxed. They don't state every little detail because they know that the viewers can see it on TV.

Can't say which one is better, but they both are different in their own rights.

At that time, Amar, the international commentary was also CART's radio feed, yes.

It isn't now.

Yes indeed, I think today Motors TV has had 12 hours of Live Motorsport in one form or another, if Eurosport had the rights to show what Motors did today we would be lucky to get 12 mins of Live motorsport.

No to Eurosport showing Champ car in the UK!

The best thing about CBS is that TSN is powerless against them! No blackouts so TSN can show their spelling bees uncontested! Bring on the superior coverage too!... if it's true of course.

I think Spike TV's coverage in the US is getting better with each race. The picture is not that good though. Anyone know why that is?

I have no idea, its like they use the a cheapo home video camera or something. The picture isn't very clear, camera always seems to be correcting itself for light, so the screen gets bright, and then dims. The colours are terrible, all washed out, and I think it has something to do with the brightness issue mentioned before.

Spike was probably not given the best equipment by CBS (the parent company).

True.

But without decent TV coverage the series won't attract new fans.

Merely being there is not an excuse for substandard stuff.

I'm not! I'm agreeing with you! And that is as rare as IRL tee-shirts in Portland!

A lot of what you say makes sense.

I agree with you more than you think.
